Absolutely amazing image!!! Love the backdrop for your photograph, and the subject is wonderful :) Thank you for your post, as well as the great information - never heard that one yet!

Description
"Surface View" | Orca - Killer Whale | Strait of Georgia | British Columbia | Canada There are many pods of whales that come through this area. Some of those pods feed on sea mammals and others feed on fish. Research has shown that groups of Orca have their own language and different pods don't communicate with each other. Extremely interesting is that other sea mammals like sea lions have been known to travel with fish eating Orca pods presumably for a sense of protection. Somehow they know they are swimming with the fish eaters. Canon 1D X MKII, EF100-400 IS II, ISO 1250, 1/2500 Sec, F9, Manual Exposure www.facebook.com/questforwildlife
